Cornelia Ott studied Architecture and Interior Design at the University of Wuppertal. Her introduction to Film Design came through working as Art Director to Oscar-winner Rolf Zehetbauer (Best Production Design for 'Cabaret') at Bavaria Film Studios. Since then she has focussed her creativity on film, amassing a considerable volume of international projects in the past decades.  

She has worked with influential Directors, such as Brian de Palma ('Passion'), Paul Verhoeven ('Azazel' and 'Black Book'),

Roman Polanski ('The Ghost Writer'), Bryan Singer ('Valkyrie'), Lana and Lilly Wachowski ('V for Vendetta'), George Clooney

('The Monuments Men'), Paul Greengrass ('Jason Bourne') and

Dennis Gansel ('Jim Knopf').

More recently, she has collaborated again with Brian de Palma and Director of Photography, Jose Luis Alcaine, on 'Domino', as well as on other international projects including 'Charlie’s Angels’ (Director: Elizabeth Banks), 'Without Remorse’ (Director: Stefano Sollima) and currently the Hollywood blockbusters 'Uncharted’ with Director Ruben Fleischer and 'John Wick, Chapter 4' with Director Chad Stahelski.

Cornelia Ott, Production Designer, Art Director, Berlin

Cornelia is now widely recognised as one of Germany's foremost Art Directors/ Production Designers. This was acknowledged in 2019 when she was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. 

 

She continues to work extensively with Babelsberg Film Studios where her ease and proficiency with multi-national crews have made her invaluable to the Producers, Directors and    

Art Departments she works with. She also gained experience working abroad in the US, UK, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Croatia, Austria, Turkey, Malta, Russia and Morocco.

 

Cornelia lives in Berlin and Munich and maintains an office near London‘s Canary Wharf.
